Company

The people behind the systems.

Auth Alien is a small engineering company with an unusual habit: we keep operating the software we build, and we take payment only when it works.

Why we exist

Delivery is the easy half.

Most software projects end at the handover. The build is signed off, the team disperses, and the system starts its slow decline: a vendor renames a field, a credential expires, a queue silently backs up, and within a year the thing everyone was proud of is a spreadsheet again.

We started Auth Alien because that ending is avoidable and because the commercial model is what causes it. If you are paid to deliver, you optimise for delivery. If you are paid for the work the system performs, week after week, you optimise for it still working in year three.

So we build systems into businesses, run them ourselves, and invoice per completed action. It makes us slower to say yes and much harder to fire, which is the correct trade for both sides.

Principles

Three things we will not trade away.

01

Self-hosted by default

The system runs on infrastructure you control. This costs us convenience and occasionally deals, and it is not negotiable — a business should not have to export itself to automate itself.

02

Your data stays yours

We hold operational telemetry and a count of completed actions. We do not hold your payload, we do not train anything general on it, and the records the invoice is built from live in your warehouse.

03

Always on, and answered for

Something we operate is something we are woken up for. Alerts reach an engineer who can change the code, and the weekly note is written in plain English by a person.

How we work

Small team, long engagements, no bench.

The people who run your system are the people who built it. There is no handover to an operations tier, because there is no operations tier.

Engagements
Measured in years, not sprints. We take on few, and we say no to work we cannot meter honestly.

From the same mothership

Two surfaces, one company.

Auth Alien AI is the autonomous operations layer for the connections between your systems — the same mark, the same metering, one degree more alive. Billing for both lives in one portal.

How we start

One email, one honest conversation.

Tell us what the work is, how often it happens, and who does it today. If it is not a fit we will say so in the first call — that answer is free and usually faster than a proposal.
